We sell clean, well-skirted, premium fleeces. They are guaranteed to be as described or your money back (including shipping!). The price listed is for the entire fleece. Shipping (via USPS Priority Mail unless requested otherwise) is extra and depends upon the destination. You can estimate shipping cost from our ZIP code (48473) to yours at the U.S. Postal Service website, www.usps.gov . Keep in mind that the box will add about 1.5 lbs to the shipping weight. 

All fleeces are shorn and stored in a smoke-free environment.

If you would prefer to receive a ready-to-spin product, we can take the fleece directly to Zeilinger's Wool Processing in not-too-distant Frankenmuth, MI, for a small fee ($10 to cover gas) thereby saving one shipping charge (if you plan to ship it out for processing). A quantity discount of 50 cents per pound will apply to the second fleece (and any additional fleeces) in the purchase of two or more fleeces at the same time. 

Fleeces are marked as SOLD when we have received payment. Fleeces marked RESERVED have been spoken for, but payment has not yet been received. They may still be available if the interested party does not follow through. We accept Paypal, personal check and money orders. Email us for our mailing address.

Fleeces are either shorn blanketed (covered while growing during the hay-feeding season) or pastured (uncovered while the sheep is on pasture, therefore no hay contamination). All are well-skirted. Click on the name to view a photo of the fleece.

ROMNEY LAMB FLEECES Please note that because of their rapid growth, our lambs are not blanketed. However, these fleeces are extremely clean, first shearings from lambs born in February or March, 2010. Gender makes no difference at this point - ewe lamb and ram lamb fleeces are the same.

1. PFR 587, natural-colored ewe lamb - 5½ lbs, 3½" staple length. Shorn August, 2010. Extremely soft and fine, very dense and lustrous, with a very attractive variation in shade. $55 

2. Elroy, white ram lamb - 5¾ lbs, 5" staple length. Shorn August, 2010. Bold crimp, high luster, distinct medium lock, with good handle. Would make excellent Santa beards, among other uses. $55

3. PFR 591, natural-colored ram lamb - 4½ lbs, 3½" staple length. Shorn August, 2010. Fairly uniformly dark, with finer crimp and lock. Soft and dense. $45 SOLD

WHITE ROMNEY FLEECES 

2. Pretty Girl - 5 lbs, 4½" staple length. Shorn July 2010. Blanketed fleece. Medium-fine lock and crimp, very soft and bright. $45

3. Pinhead - 5 lbs, 4¾ staple length. Shorn July, 2010. Blanketed fleece. Fine crimp and lock, very soft and white. $47.50 SOLD

4. PFR 568 - 4¾ lbs, 5½" staple length. Shorn July, 2010. Pastured fleece. Relaxed, yet distinct lock and medium crimp, lots of luster with good handle. $42. RESERVED

5. PFR 574 - 4 ¾ lbs, 4½" staple length. Shorn July, 2010. Pastured yearling (2nd) fleece. Medium lock and crimp, high luster with excellent definition. Wonderful handle. $45 SOLD

6. Halsey - 9 lbs, 5" staple length. Shorn May, 2010. Pastured ram fleece. Wide crimp and lock, surprisingly soft. Classic Romney fleece. $72 SOLD

NATURAL COLORED ROMNEY FLEECES  

1. Dinah - 6 lbs, 5" staple length. Shorn  April, 2010. Blanketed fleece. Light steel gray, tan at the very tips that touched the blanket. High luster, medium lock and crimp, good consistency throughout. $60 RESERVED

2. Cyrus - 7¼ lbs, 5" staple length. Shorn April, 2010. Pastured ram fleece. Dark steel gray with tan tips.  Medium-wide crimp and lock, dense and consistent. $65. SOLD

3. Mona - 5½ lbs, 5½" staple length. Shorn July, 2010. Blanketed fleece. Gorgeous, bright silver with medium  lock and crimp. Very soft and lustrous, outstanding breed character. $60 SOLD

4. Cupcake - 4 lbs, 4" staple length. Shorn May, 2010.  Blanketed fleece. Light silver in big, soft locks and gentle crimp. Very nice handle. $40. SOLD

BLUEFACED LEICESTER FLEECES -  All unblanketed, but extremely clean (we find blanketing causes cotting or felting at the tips on BFLs).

PFR 607 - 2¾ lbs, 3" staple length. White lamb fleece (1st shearing). Bold crimp and lock, very lustrous and soft. A bee-yootiful lamb fleece. $55 SOLD
