Spring Shearing Day 2008

This page last updated March 31, 2008

On March 30, we held a shearing and fleece demonstration at our farm. Among the attendees were 8 members of the spinning guild from Ewe-nique Knits in Royal Oak. Along with instructor Lia Young, they watched as we sheared four ewes on the stand, learned to spin fresh fleece in the grease, and sampled many of our fleeces and rovings, all of which were available for sale. Here are some photos from the event, graciously provided by participant Diane Johnson.
